The first thing you will notice is the field: a warm pomegranate red that glows like sun-baked clay. Framing a small lozenge medallion, sprays of cobalt and teal blossoms, sage leaves, and delicate bone-white tendrils climb upward in a loose vase-of-flowers layout, a classic Boyukabad village interpretation of the more famous Sarouk style. Around the edges the floral pattern softens into curving ivory corner spandrels, then shifts again to a midnight inky blue main border filled with rosettes and scrolling vines. Subtle abrash in the reds and blues testifies to small-batch natural dyes and forty years of gentle wear.

The pile is medium to low, giving the surface a mellow, velvety hand without hiding the crisp outlines of each motif. A firm cotton warp keeps the rug lying flat, perfect for busy rooms.
