Color Black Yellow White Blue Brown Beige Brick

A large dome pendant that grounds the space and focuses light where it matters.
The FARO pendant features a wide, curved steel shade that directs light downward, creating a clear pool of light over the table or island. It helps define the area and gives the space a more structured, intentional feel.

With its 19.7" diameter, it has enough presence to anchor the surface below without overwhelming the room. The dome shape keeps the light controlled and comfortable, making it a practical choice for everyday use.

The form is simple and well-balanced, which is why this type of pendant is widely used in mid-century, Scandinavian, and modern interiors. It pairs easily with wood, linen, and neutral spaces, adding contrast without visual clutter.

Why people choose this fixture:

Light type: Focused downward light with soft ambient spill
Scale: Large dome pendant (19.7" diameter)

Frequently Asked Questions

What bulb does it take, and is it included?

One E26 LED bulb, not included. There's no wattage cap listed for this fixture so a standard LED bulb works fine. For a warm feel go 2700K, for a brighter look go 3000K. The steel shade directs light mostly downward, so bulb brightness matters more here than on a diffused shade.

What are the exact dimensions?

19.69 × 19.69 inches diameter, max total height 66.93 inches (500 × 500 × 1700 mm). Height is fully adjustable — you set the exact drop during install.

How high should I hang it above the table or island?

Around 28 to 34 inches from the surface to the bottom of the shade is standard. At 19.7 inches wide the dome has strong visual presence, so the lower end of that range (28–30 inches) works well for most islands and dining tables.

Can I use two or three over a longer surface?

Yes, grouping two or three FARO pendants in a row over a longer island or table is a common approach. Space them roughly every 24 to 30 inches along the surface. You'll need a separate ceiling box for each pendant.

What colours are available?

Black, Yellow, White, Blue, and Brown. Check the variant selector for current stock levels as availability varies by colour.

How stiff is the cord? How close does it sit to the ceiling?

The cord is a solid metal rod rather than a flexible cable, which gives the fixture its clean, architectural look. It does mean the canopy sits slightly away from the ceiling rather than flush against it. This is part of the design. If you need it flush, it's not the right fit — but for most installs the gap is minimal and not noticeable once the fixture is at the right height.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with an external dimmer switch or dimmable smart bulbs. No integrated dimmer in the fixture, so you can use whatever system you already have.

Is it approved for Canadian electrical code?

Yes. UL listed for both the USA and Canada (cUL), so it passes inspection and won't cause issues with insurance or a home sale.

Do I need an electrician?

It's a hardwired fixture that requires installation. If you're replacing an existing ceiling light on the same box, many people handle it themselves. If you're adding a new box or moving the location, use a licensed electrician.

How fast does it ship?

Ships from our Mississauga warehouse. 1 to 3 business days to Eastern Canada, 4 to 6 to Western Canada. Free shipping over $149.

What is the warranty?

2 years from date of purchase.

What if it doesn't work in the space?

30-day returns on uninstalled fixtures. Send it back within 30 days of delivery in its original packaging, uninstalled and unmodified. Once installed, it's no longer eligible for return.
